Carrie Underwood
In a small town called Muskogee Oklahoma, country superstar Carrie Underwood was bornand raised. The daughter of proud parents, Carole (Shatswell) and Stephen Underwood, and two older sisters, Shanna and Stephanie. Stephen Underwood (Carrie’s father) worked at a sawmill and her mother Carole Underwood taught at a Elementary school.
Carrie's story is a constant reminder that anyone, can be anything even a small town girl. I could say a lot about how Carrie managed to rise to the top, but I'll start with her childhood below.

During Carrie's childhood she performed at lots of places and stages. Just some places, she has performed at are Robins Memorial Talent show and sang at local church's. In high school she was involved in the honor society cheerleading and she played on Checotah's basketball and softball teams. In Carrie's spare time she worked at a zoo, a veterinary clinic and also waited tables at a pizzeria.
Just at the age of 14, she was arranged to go to Nashville to audition for Capital Records. 1996, Capital Records was preparing a contract for Carrie but cancelled when the company management changed. Carrie said to this event, “I honestly think it's a lot better that nothing came out of it now, because I wouldn't have been ready then. Everything has a way of working out."
Awards and Accomplishments
Carrie's debut album, some hearts, was released in 2005. One of her success singles " Jesus, take the wheel " and " Before he cheats " it became the best-selling solo female in country music history it was the fast-selling country album in Nielsen Sound scan history also best-selling country album of the last 14 years. Released in 2007, also her second album, Carnival Ride, had one of the biggest openings by a female artist and Carrie won two Grammy awards.
2009's play on, was a success by the single " Cowboy Casanova." Carrie's fourth album, Blown Away ( 2012 ), earned her a Grammy Award and was the years best-selling album released by a female artist. In 2014 she, won a Grammy Award for her first complication album.
